I received a sample of this a while back - a nice dark heavy sticky incense-heavy oud - really feel like I'm connecting with something primal and profound.
I don't want to use descriptive words for context, for I don't have the expertise in regions, nor do I have the knowledge of the genre of genetics in agarwood. Rather, I would like to use analogy and comparison.
My idea came when I was in the woods relaxing. I was wearing Yusa's Pursat Encense. I had also previously sampled it. I also had worn two other ouds from samples from a vendor that Evreyone knows for comparison. Those samples were in the same price range as Pursat Encense.
Think of looking at the trees from two vantage points. 1. Looking straight out at a horizontal plane view. 2. Hoving above looking straight down. With vantage point 1 you'll see the tree's different shapes and sizes, plus stages of the day. 2. Will add the context of zoom.
It's morning, and murky fog and dew are dissipating quickly. The tree outlines are coming into view. You can notice the bark of the trees. As time passes, you clearly notice the depth and roundness of the trees. More time passes and the vividness of nature's artwork has taken full shape.
Vantage 2. If you've ever been in different woods where trees had been recently cut, it can be interesting. You can look down and up close at the rings of the trees. Some woods will have trees that have few rings while other woods will have trees with more rings. It gives you the life of the woods had gone through. The history of the trees pops up at you and gives you a 3D aspect of it.
Vantage 1 and 2 are analogous to the wearing stages of Yusa's Pursat Encense. There is a stage where the oud oil takes shape and has a 3D aspect that pops up from your skin.
Think of an individual's profile. At first, there's a blank photo and a name. With time, a photo is added and a history outline is provided. Please don't think of the word blank as being negative, the opening to Pursat Encense is wonderful, The word blank is a point of reference.
Now for the comparison that Everyone knows in this price range of oud oil. That stage of the 3D element never comes out.
In short, Yusa's oil in this price range is far superior.
I understand that this review is abstract and may be difficult to read, but I tried my best, for this oil at this price range certainly deserves it.
