Owari - Ceylon 2025
The story;

Distilled in copper, 0 soaked incense grade wood from Sri Pada, Sri Lanka.

We had acquired this wood last year and it was sitting in our distillation shed, our favorite oils are from Sri Lanka, think of old oils brother Faheem released in his Imperial Oud times ; Adrijaya, Ceylon Royale, Wilpatu Raja etc.
Especially Adrijaya caught our attention because since it’s release we have never smelled a ceylon oil like it. So we thought we have the wood, why not try it ? We started the grinding process and threw the wood and water in the pot. Temperature was set as low as we possibly could go, with this we planned some curves to get the more delicate notes out, after 2 weeks while the pot was running we isolated the pot with fiberglass(burnt our fingers a couple times cause the pot was running) to try to go lower in the temperatures.
Finished the distillation in a total of 21 days and cured the oil afterwards.

Now for the smell :
Juicy guava, pear, watermelon rind, green mango & and drydown of minty green incense identical to sinking Srilankan wood on a ceramic burner.
Mouthwatering indeed ! If anyone missed out on Adrijaya, dont miss out a second time.
This oil is only 2 weeks old and it is already showing what a beauty it is and it will improve much more !

Limited quantity available, we got only a tola of oil out of the wood.
