JIKU - Hainan

The beginning is sharp, fresh and minty with an obvious cooling effect right from the start. There is a hint of orange peel and juicy grapes under the mint which give the opening a fruity edge without making this too sweet. As the scent opens up more, the fruity notes get more and more sweet, and begin to take on an almost candy-like quality. The orange peel becomes more of a candied orange peel note but the grapes also take on a sugary feel. On top of this is the soft green sinensis note that plays in the background. It’s not the star of the show, but it adds depth and keeps the agarwood character present underneath the sweeter notes. In the middle the bitter and slightly woody sinensis side starts to show more. It feels cool and dry, with a little pinch of spice added to it. The sweetness is still there, but it is less playful, beginning to mix with the bitter wood and green notes. As it dries down, a soft cedar note appears to give the scent a smoother woody base. The final stage has soft Hainan spices, strong bitter orange and a minty freshness that stays cool at the same time. The result is fruity, bitter, woody and refreshing with the orange and mint lingering to the end. Oil will be shipped in 2-3 weeks(approx end of August).
